Summary: I've always ran synthetic oil in my trucks and synthetic oil additives and I've lost an oil pump on a Gm 6.0 recently and I just thought I'm buying a new truck anyway so I drove it 6.5 miles home with 0 pressure and when I got home I pulled the cover and pan to check the bearings out they were fine. I put a new oil pump on it and it's running today. Btw 331,000 miles with nothing but plugs, a serpentine belt and oil changes and now oil pump.
